Blue Bar

Under bright skies, the Blue Bar glows anew – with reimagined mixology and late-night vibes making it this season's coolest hotspot.

David Collins' original blues provide the perfect backdrop for contemporary accents and technicolor cocktails. From the herb-infused Arctic Blue to the ocean-fresh Ultramarine Blue with ponzu ‘caviar,’ or the playful Baby Blue trio of mini-Martinis, Bar Manager Marcello Cauda and his team have distilled the bar’s iconic heritage into a captivating new collection.

Whether settled into a cosy nook or star-gazing in the glass-lined pavilion, high spirits are accompanied by soon-to-be-cult bar snacks and vinyl sets from dusk to (almost) dawn.

Mar-tea-ni Is Served

Following a long history of serving afternoon tea with a twist, The Berkeley debuts its newest take on this time-honoured tradition. Take a seat in the Blue Bar for Mar-Tea-Ni, as this time-honoured tradition meets cocktail-hour chic. Here, your home-baked scones are topped with caviar, patisserie perfection comes in the form of pistachio ice cream lollypops, and three bespoke martinis are mixology masterpieces in miniature. Served daily from 5-7.30PM, wrap up days shopping Belgravia’s boutiques, or plan the perfect prelude to festive celebrations.

Shades of blue

Here’s looking at blue, as the bar introduces a bold new menu, Shades of Blue. This collection is inspired by the custom Lutyens blue, a signature shade at the heart of the Blue Bar’s iconic design. It features 12 distinct cocktails, each representing a different shade of blue derived from this unique hue. From the herb-infused Arctic Blue to the ocean-fresh Ultramarine Blue with ponzu ‘caviar’, or the playful Baby Blue trio of Martinis, every drink offers a creative and artfully crafted tribute to blue in all its forms.

CRAZY FOR BLUE

Original architectural features meet contemporary design in the Blue Bar, refreshed for the season. With David Collins’ Lutyens Blue colour scheme a striking constant, bold new additions by Robert Angell breathe new life into this timeless space.

Late-night bites with a twist

Longtime favourites including the brie, Wiltshire ham and truffle toasties are now joined by steak tartare crumpets, topped with confit egg yolk and pickled shallot, while classic churros are served laden with lashings of shaved Manchego cheese. At the Blue Bar you will discover the most sophisticated small plates in London, from Dorset crab tacos and Angus beef sliders to a 5-star take on the humble hot dog.
